This culture of innovation and personal growth at Catalyze deeply resonates with my personal journey. My longstanding passion for technology and innovation drove me to pursue a Bachelor’s and a Master of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, where I focused my research on robotics and lower limb prosthetics. This interest stems from my grandmother’s experience. Her life changed dramatically after a hip fracture. Until then, she was active and healthy, but the fracture at her advanced age proved to be a severe setback. Witnessing her lose her independence, I wondered about the medical devices that could have aided her. This led me to delve into the world of biomedical devices, questioning their design and construction. It was here that my interest in healthcare began, coupled with a realization of the urgent need for innovation in this space — a challenge I eagerly wanted to tackle.
