How did you end up at Catalyze and what do you do in your daily work?
I have always been fascinated by bold ideas and the people behind them. I see a clear pattern, great ideas rarely succeed in isolation. They need the right strategy, the right partners, and the right resources at the right moment.

During my PhD and postdoctoral research in biomedical sciences, I realized that innovation is not only about discovery. It is about pursuing the right vision while connecting people, and resources to make real progress possible.

That curiosity about how impact at scale actually happens, led me to Catalyze. Here I work at the intersection of science, strategy, and funding, supporting innovators who are trying to push the boundaries of what is possible.

As a Managing Consultant, I lead a team that helps researchers, startups, and companies design ambitious projects and secure European funding to bring transformative technologies closer to reality.

Can you describe how you make an impact on your clients in your daily work?
Much of my work is about creating clarity around complex ideas. Innovators often know their technology inside out, but stepping back to articulate the broader vision, impact, and pathway forward can be challenging. My role is to take the role of critical friend and ask the bigger questions. What problem are we really solving? Why does it matter? And how do we build the right partnerships to move it forward?

I enjoy working with teams to sharpen that vision. Sometimes that means challenging assumptions, sometimes connecting them with the right partners, and sometimes simply asking the questions that unlock a new perspective.

And even when a project is not funded, the process itself creates value. Strategies become sharper, ideas evolve, and teams gain a clearer path forward. For me, that continuous learning and progress is incredibly rewarding.

Can you describe what you like about your team, your colleagues, the collaboration within Catalyze, and the company culture?
I particularly enjoy how collaborative the environment is. Catalyze brings together people who are curious about innovation and genuinely enjoy solving complex problems together.

My own team is very international and diverse in experience, which makes discussions dynamic and often very creative. Courageous collaboration is essential in our work. We constantly exchange ideas, challenge each other, and combine expertise to deliver the best possible support to our clients.

As someone with Spanish roots and a very social personality, I also value the human side of the work. Building strong relationships with colleagues and clients is essential for making ambitious projects succeed.

What would you like to say to your future colleagues?
If you are curious about how innovation really happens, Catalyze is an exciting place to be. You will meet brilliant scientists, ambitious entrepreneurs, and visionary teams who are trying to change the future.

For me, the most rewarding part of the job is working with people who are brave enough to pursue bold ideas and helping them find the path to make those ideas real.
