We are looking for a motivated Senior Innovation Consultant – Life Sciences & Health – Dutch to join our team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of science and business, helping clients secure funds, refine their strategies, and bring transformative health innovations to life.

Senior Innovation Consultant – Life Sciences & Health - Dutch
As Senior Innovation Consultant, you have what it takes to bring innovations to life. You can quickly identify the key challenges in our client’s innovation development path and define the right projects that will help our clients to overcome these challenges and create impact. Our Senior Innovation Consultant is the ‘quality booster’ and ‘domain expert’ within the department. As Senior, you independently and successfully lead multi-stakeholder projects, act as a role model in designing and delivering high-quality service to our clients and support more junior consultants in their job. With your experience and knowledge, you play an essential role in quality assurance and optimization of our projects and improving our services within the department. You have profound domain expertise and establish and maintain an active network of clients that potentially generate new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Independently design strategies to advance innovations and projects for our clients in the field of Life Sciences & Health
- Independently develop project proposals for our clients.
- Independently coordinate and manage multi-stakeholder project applications, design financing strategies, write project proposals, business cases and business plans for clients.
- Providing strategic advice to our clients on innovation, financing, commercialization and/or development strategies and positioning of their innovations and technologies towards funding agencies.
- Actively thinking with clients about business, commercialization and/or development strategies and positioning of their innovations and technologies.
- Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with our clients and actively manage key client accounts.
- Bring together companies, universities, and research institutes to establish long-term partnerships.
- Actively follow new developments and innovations in the industry and contribute to strengthening our expertise.
- Identify and act on new opportunities for clients to proactively support them to advance their innovations and create new business opportunities.
- Identify and act on new funding opportunities for our established clients.
- Establish and maintain an active network of key accounts and proactively act upon business opportunities by engaging from established expertise.
- Act as an expert and keep track of new insights and trends in a certain domain
- Quality assurance and improvements within the department
- Guiding and coaching of fellow team members.
Qualifications
- A relevant Master’s degree, preferably with a Science and/or business focus.
- Proven track record in writing and securing EU funding programs such as EIC Accelerator, EIC Transition, Horizon, NWO, ZonMW, EFRO, WBSO, Dutch national funding programs and knowledge of the application process, timelines and guidelines.
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in grant writing such as EU funding programs, writing strategic plans or business plans, science communication, or in managing and coordinating large projects.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a commercial environment, preferably in a supporting role to business development teams in a consulting/advisory firm.
- Based in the Netherlands.
- Passion for innovations in the fields of Life Sciences & Health and demonstrable insights into the development of Scientific innovations, from ideation to commercialization.
